Eat Smart – Tip # 4

BE REALISTIC in your eating habits. Eating well and living a healthy lifestyle should NOT be an exercise in deprivation, but it’s unrealistic to think you’re only going to eat “good” food 100% of the time!

For this reason, I’m a big fan of the 80/20 theory, and based on this you should be eating “good” food 80% of the time, but you can also indulge in some of the “naughty” stuff 20% of the time. How you break it up is up to you and many of my clients are good from Monday – Friday and save their 20% naughties for the weekend.

But wait – the 80/20 theory goes WAY beyond just how much time you allow yourself the good and the bad! It can also be applied to a whole range of other areas of weight loss, fitness and nutrition.
