IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!  The time when we are preparing to turn the page to a new year, and a time when many of us take a little time to reflect on the year that was! I also like to reflect on how the year panned out – to be thankful for all the good, the fun and happy times – and even for the “lessons” learned and more challenging experiences.

I also try to put the NOT so good times into perspective. I prefer to travel light, so I make an effort to take something positive or productive out of those lessons/experiences into the new year, and then leave the experiences themselves behind in the year we are wrapping up.  It’s excess baggage that I don’t need to lug around with me – and like excess baggage on a flight, it is often costly to take it with you!

2014 and 2015 were pretty shitty for me (to say the least) and many HARD lessons were learned along the way – how to deal with grief, depression and PTSD. Finding some Inner Peace and creating more Balance and Harmony in my life. These were pretty much my full time job throughout 2014/15.

Which brings me to 2016 – and what a ride it’s been!

The afternoon of New Year last year (2015 to 2016) saw me writing my first “Reflections” article, and started what I think will become an annual thing. It was a journey back through the year, and definitely a journey within (a new “skill” I had learned throughout that year). I also wrote my “intentions” for 2016 and established a game plan. Happily I can say that I ticked off around 95% of those intentions, and a couple were dropped along the way as they were no longer relative. You’ll find out why in a minute.

So – 2016 opened with a positive vibe! For growth, new beginnings and new adventures – and WOW, didn’t the Universe deliver!!! I had just sold my business of 11 years which left me happily “unemployed” and therefore FREE to pursue whatever the hell I/we wanted or whatever opportunities came my/our way!

Near the top of my intention list was to MOVE HOUSE / MAKE A SEA CHANGE and start a new life with Sun, Sand and Sea, but FIRST we needed to get our son/step son married off in February AND work out where we wanted to go! We considered many different places, but couldn’t come to a firm decision. The wedding rolled around which saw most of the family come together to see the lovely couple “tie the knot”. In retrospect, it seems the Universe was giving us this time to get our shit together and tie up some loose ends so we were ready to make the move.

Less than a week after the wedding we were at our River Retreat, sitting on the river bank when a “flash of brilliance” came over me. I looked at my husband (Graham) and said “Want to go on a road trip to Port Stephens?” He of course asked why and I stated all my reasons – closer to my daughter, close enough for the other kids to visit, close to an airport….and Sun, Sand and Sea! 3 days later we were in the car going on a road trip to Port Stephens. I won’t bore you with all the details, but needless to say we fell in love, came home and started plotting our escape from Sydney 😉  The Universe conspired to get this show on the road, and within a week we had found not only a house, but a business to buy as well, and only 5 weeks after that initial “want to go on a road trip,” our lives had been packed in a truck and we were on the road to a whole NEW life.

And so began what we called the…

magical-mystery-tour

We moved on 31st March (9 months today) and it has been an amazing journey! We took over the business (Metamorph Nutrition), tweaked it (a lot) and made it our own (renamed Zenergy One Health, Fitness & Wellness). We’ve made new friends and caught up with old ones who also made the switch from the suburbs to the sea.  For ME, I have found a level of peace that I never thought possible, and subsequently a few things on my Intentions List were struck off as they just weren’t relevant anymore!

For many people, 2016 has been a tough year! A year of lessons, endings and letting go! It’s been a bit the same for me, but with my new found perspective of life I have found it easier to let go, to not push and control so much, and to listen to my intuition. I believe this has made 2016 a much easier and more positive year for me.

Numeralogically speaking, 2016 has been a 9 year – a year of endings, letting go and lessons to take us into a new 9 year cycle in 2017. Like many others, I’ve done my share of letting go. I’ve dealt with the lessons I needed to learn, I’ve been “re-directed” and in many ways my life has come full circle over this last 9 years, with a fresh, new approach. It’s had an EXTREME makeover!

At the beginning of 2016 I had very definite ideas of where I wanted to go personally and professionally over the next 12 months, but apparently the Universe had other plans! Where I THOUGHT I was going was somewhere vastly different to where I FIND MYSELF now! By July/August I had a ME-awakening and was “guided” to re-visit my business ventures of the last 11 years – the one I sold out of in late 2015. I had NO FUCKING INTENTION of ever going there again! I was DONE – or so I thought. That is until I was guided to bring it back for a new audience, with a new look and feel, a fresh perspective and to bring ALL of my past skills together with my many new skills! The last 4 months have been spent building and refining this new model, taking it for a test drive, and getting ready to bring it to the world.

So here we are again at New Year’s Eve – standing on the precipice of another New Year! It’s quite amazing to sit back now in reflection and see how all the pieces of the 2016 puzzle have fitted together so perfectly in so many ways – Zenergy One Health Fitness & Wellness + the new Zenergy One MOVEment Studio + my new Life Support project – and now a new chapter begins! I’m excited and motivated to see what the Universe has in store for 2017!

Wishing you all a VERY Happy and Prosperous New Year…
