Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems. roots, flowers, and other parts of plants!

In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants, and being beautifully fragrance to people, essential oils have been use throughout history in many cultures for their many benefits! Modern scientific study and trends towards more holistic approaches to health and wellness are driving a revival, and new discovery of essential oil health applications.

Never before has the word ‘organic’ been more top of mind. As mindful consumers, we strive to select products that are safe, effective, and as affordable as possible; products that are kind to the Earth, and to our bodies. We want to know that what we’re lathering on topically, what we’re ingesting and indeed what we’re breathing are as good and right and natural as possible. We know, now more than ever before, the importance of quality.

When you choose doTERRA, you are choosing essential oils gently and carefully distilled from plants that have been patiently harvested at the perfect moment by experienced growers from around the world for ideal extract composition and efficacy.

Each doTERRA essential oil is also carefully and thoroughly tested using strict quality control protocols. Experienced essential oil users will immediately recognize the superior quality standard for naturally safe, purely effective doTERRA essential oils.

doTERRA oils empower us to take control of our own health and happiness, and are revolutionising the way families manage their health.

doTERRA – Beyond the Bottle

Shared from our Team Leader, Tara Bliss because NOBODY says it better. You can read the original article here >>

Rather than laying down lavender farms all over Utah – doTERRA’s home state – instead, we source our lavender from the high alps of France, and Bulgaria.

Vetiver from Haiti.
Oregano from Turkey.
Wintergreen from Nepal.
Frankincense from Somalia.
Cardamom from Guatemala.
Ylang Ylang from Madagascar.
Douglas Fir from New Zealand.
Lemon and bergamot from Sicily.
Lemongrass from Southern India.
Tea Tree and eucalyptus from right here, in Australia.

But why the worldwide pilgrimage?

The answer is really very simple – but still mighty impressive.

doTERRA seeks out plants from areas that they are either:

  1. indigenously grown, or
  2. best thriving, due to humidity, soil condition and sustainability practices.

These efforts ensure that as consumers, we’re receiving a product that provides the absolute best chemistry for our bodies. Every single drop of oil must meet strict testing, and to do this, the following is required:

  • Rigorous testing assures the presence of desired therapeutic qualities
  • Third party testing guarantees absence of toxins, contaminants and microorganisms
  • Purity of oils guarantees no negative side effects or drug interactions

It’s really important that you know that these oils contain zero herbicides, pesticides, weeds, fillers and obscene carrier oils… just pure magnificence from Mother Nature, captured in a sweet little brown bottle, wrapped in a doTERRA label. And, if ever testing doesn’t meet their strict standards, quite simply, that oil will be taken off the market. I don’t know about you, but that gives me a lot of confidence in their integrity.

But there’s another (more touching) reason why doTERRA spans the globe to source their oils. Every time you buy a bottle of doTERRA essential oil, you are, quite literally, making the world a better place.

As you saw above, doTERRA’s oil collection is sourced from over 40 countries. Half of these are developing nations.

Meaning: half of these are communities that need us.

Think about the current big corporation culture, whose M.O. is to create the most product, as cheaply as possible, for the biggest profit. When this is your guiding goal, it’s the people – the workers – who are treated as a second thought. This is evidenced in sweatshops and factories; people getting underpaid and badly treated.

doTERRA on the other hand, has a relationship with their partners on the ground because here’s the thing:

These communities have some of the best raw material for oils on the planet, and

WE have the largest market in the world for them.

With over four million customers, doTERRA truly has the largest essential oil database in history. doTERRA’s customers – people like you and me – are thrilled with their efficacy, we’re loyal customers, we feel absolutely enhanced by living an EO lifestyle. And I know I can speak on behalf of thousands, millions of people, when I say that each and every time I purchase my oils, I love knowing I’m voting with my dollar. Voting for a co-impact sourcing model that supports real families, communities and villages on the ground who are providing us with the blessings of a plant that they have grown up around and tended to all their lives.

These farmers, growers and distillers get paid fairly, on time and often receive a profit share of their batches. They’re able to provide for their families, send their children to school, and go to sleep with peace in their heart knowing with certainty that they will have work tomorrow.

Please know that when you’re buying your Ice Blue, it’s not just your sore muscles that are benefiting. The Wintergreen in Ice Blue is hand picked by women in Nepal, and you have literally contributed to their wellbeing as a community.

Give yourself a pat on the back for choosing a company that is this compelled to create change.

The relationship that doTERRA has with our growing, farmers, harvesters and distillers is far from merely transactional. Long-term, cooperative, family-like bonds are created. It’s stuff that seriously tugs at your heartstrings.

Sure, we’ve got a co-operative set up in which we’re in direct alignment with the communities that provide the best essential oils on Earth.

But we don’t just want these villages to survive, right?

We want to see them thriving.

That’s where doTERRA’s Healing Hands Foundation comes in, and it all starts with a simple question: ‘What it is that your community really needs that we can provide you with?’

In Haiti, the children were walking hours each day to bring back a few gallons of water for their tribe. They now have a fresh drinking water that flows freely from a faucet.

In Somalia, the Frankincense farmers requested that doTERRA build schools for their sons. ‘On one condition,’ doTERRA responded. ‘You must allow your daughters to be educated also.’ (And we all know how much that will change the world!)

There are currently dozens of Healing Hands projects taking place all of over the globe, and as doTERRA wellness advocates, we get the opportunity to contribute to these projects by donating right here.

Does this much integrity even matter to you? Because I can tell you straight, it sure as shit matters to me. It’s everything. In my mind, there’s ONE essential oil company worthy of my dollar.

And finally, because impressing you is fun, another thing I love about doTERRA as not just a brand, but a business with soul, is their absolute transparency, as well as their commitment to science.

Yes, they are in collaboration with universities and hospitals, and yes, they are on the leading edge of alternate medicine with upcoming papers to be published in mainstream medical journals (praise the Goddess!), but they surprised and delighted us all when at the US Convention in September 2016, they declared they would be making their reports for every single batch of oil available to everyone.

All of what you’ve read here is why I am so proud to align with and promote doTERRA.

If our vision, culture and movement speaks to you and your values, and you want to jump on this magic carpet ride to get amongst the goodness… you’ll find more info and tep-by-step instructions on how to do HERE.
