My own life has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. There have been some phenomenal highs, some pretty phenomenal lows – and I have experienced my fair share of life changing and seriously traumatic events along the way!

Amongst the normal life “challenges” that we all experience from time-to-time, I have experienced (and survived)

  • a very bitter, messy and lengthy divorce and custody battle.
  • lived through a breast cancer issue,
  • lost too many loved ones and close friends,
  • experienced chronic anxiety, depression and weight problems, and

There have been a few times when I thought things couldn’t get any worse. When I thought I’d hit “Rock Bottom”.

How wrong I was….

I discovered what rock bottom really looks and feels like when my whole world crumbled around me – suddenly and unexpectedly…

On 8th September 2014, there was a knock on the door – the kind that you see in the movies! An Army Chaplain and two Officers were standing there. One was saying,  “Mrs Thomas? We are sorry to inform you that your son, Alex has passed away! We are very sorry for your loss….”

Alex was the youngest of my 4 children and just 23 years old! Read Alex’s Story here >>

The Moral of the Story

Sadly, we all go through STUFF, and we all get BROKEN from time to time – BUT we all have choices to make about how we react to, and subsequently move and grow beyond these challenges… much like the piece of pottery below.

I can’t deny that healing and moving forward from the ultimate loss of your life  has probably been the biggest challenge of my life. It was tough, but by taking a holistic approach to my overall physical, mental and emotional HEALth, WELLth and HAPPYness I worked my way through it – one small step at a time – and now I look forward to helping you do the same!
